FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A. Please make all cheques and money orders payable to "S.A. Brown".
Q. How can I pay using a credit card?
A. You can pay using the secure PayPal service. Just visit:
PayPal
.
Q. How long will it take to complete my web site?
A. That really depends on how long it take to get all the images and
information to us. As well as how complicated you wish your site to be.
Your site could be ready in as little as two days.
Q. How can I get the images to you?
A. You can email the images to us if you have them already scanned into
your computer. Or you can send us photos and we will scan them in for you. Your
photos will then be returned with the CD-ROM of your web site.
Q. Why does it cost more to have extra photos on my site?
A. Well, simply, scanning them in takes time, especially to get them just right.
And we all know that time is money.
Q. How can you offer free hosting of my site?
A. At the moment we do not offer free hosting, instead we arrange your free
hosting at another
web host provider, such as,
Freeservers
or
Hypermart
.
In the future we shall be offering free hosting through our own site.
Q. What is a Virtual Domain Name
A. When we set-up the free site for you at one of the free hosts you can choose
what is
call a Virtual Domain Name. This means that you can have a Internet address
something like
http://yourname.hypermart.net
. You can choose what you want "yourname" to be.
So if your business is called "Joe's Imports" you may be able to get the
Virtual Domain Name
http://joesimports.hypermart.net
.
Q. How is a Virtual Domain Name different from a Domain Name?
A. In a Virtual Domain name your part of the address is actually under the
second level name.
So in the example above "hypermart" is the second level name while
"joesimports" is under it.
Q. So why can't I just get a Domain Name for free too?
A. Domain names have to be registered through a central registry, and this
costs money.
Around US$35.00 per year if you register through one of the bigger companies.
There is,
however, a few tricks and tips that we can let you in on if you wish to get a
Domain Name for
next to nothing or even for free.
Q. Well, if there are free ways to do all this, why do I need you?
A. Quite simply, time. If you have the time to spend hours and hours on the
Internet searching
for yourself, then go for it - but be warned, you should expect to spend at
least 100 hours. We
have however been doing this for years and as a result built up extensive
knowledge of the ins-and-outs
of the Internet. Simply pay us and our knowledge is yours!
Q. Okay, I love what you have to offer, how do I get started from here?
A. The first step is to
email
us and let us discuss with you what it is you require
from your site.
Q. What about paid hosting?
A. We can organise paid host for you through a number of providers. For some
prices of Central Information Services

Q. I still have more questions, can you help me?
